The North Shore mountains push incoming weather up and wring more rain out of it, which is why North Vancouver consistently sees higher rainfall totals than Burnaby or Vancouver in the same storm. That extra moisture, combined with grit washed down from the mountainside, is harder on paint and trim than a typical Lower Mainland winter. It's also why we see more interest here in ceramic coating specifically, less time spent washing, less chance for grime to sit.
